Connect, a digital marketing agency, has grown over years and want to design their new office space located in New York City. During the COVID-19 pandemic, they adapted to the remote work mode and are now ready to move back in workplace in a hybrid model where most employees can work from home 2 days per week. They are looking for an office environment that can host their growing business and more prestigious clients while establishing areas for both collaboration and focus for their employees.
This is a collaborative class project. After research and ideation process, I focus on the design of level five while my teammate worked on level six.
Concept
Based off of the metaphor of a honey bee, this office is designed to provide the worker a collaborative, energetic, and inspiring working space. Sprinkled with bright colors throughout, the space keeps workers engaged and energetic, while providing a fresh environment. We decided to make the fifth floor more open and social with multiple areas where people can get together and collaborate. The sixth floor will be where the main offices and permanent stations located, surrounding by energetic, yet subtle colors.
